APFC

APFC

In telecom power and energy systems, poor power factor caused by inductive loads such as rectifiers, air-conditioning units, and auxiliary equipment can result in higher energy losses, increased electricity penalties, and unnecessary stress on electrical infrastructure—especially across large networks and centralized facilities. The Automatic Power Factor Correction (APFC) Panels by Intelux are intelligent, fully automatic solutions designed to improve electrical efficiency and optimize energy utilization in telecom and industrial power installations.

Available in capacities ranging from 5 kVAR to 150 kVAR, these APFC panels continuously monitor load conditions and dynamically switch capacitor banks to maintain a near-unity power factor under varying operational loads. Engineered for reliability and long-term performance, the system helps reduce reactive power losses, minimize utility penalties, improve voltage stability, and extend the life of connected equipment. This makes APFC panels an essential component of telecom energy optimization, power quality management, and sustainable network operations.

Construction Details:

The APFC panel is fabricated from high-grade CRCA steel and finished with a durable powder coating. Internally, it includes premium power capacitors, robust contactors or thyristors for switching, a digital power factor controller, and fuse/MCB protection for each step. Cable entry glands and labeled terminations ensure quick and safe installation.
